For teachers: project ideas

For teachers

Welcome to your voyage kids online project. This section aims to provide you with useful project ideas for working with your partner(s).

Aims

This project is designed to provide a basis for work between pairs and clusters of partner schools.

The voyage kids project tools are intended to help you communicate with your partner(s) and create web pages, image galleries and blogs for your project online.

Project ideas: sport

Using the online project tools tools, pupils could:

  • create a gallery of photos / drawings of the sports they play throughout the year
  • look at the sports their partners play, discussing the differences in the sports played. What sports do only they play? What sports do only their partners play?
  • create a webpage about a sport only their partners play – e.g. rugby / hockey / handball / Völkerball. (Pupils could use the internet to gather information, and ask their partners using email, video conferencing etc.)
  • present a sporting hero using simple vocabulary in the target language
  • create a blog from their sports day, with results and pictures from the races. (Don't forget to feature all of the wacky events, like the egg-and-spoon race!)
  • create a sports quiz for their partners
