Host a Teacher: deadline approaching

With our free and flexible programme, you can host a teacher from Germany for two or three weeks this school year.

"It brought a piece of the world into our classroom."

Deadline: 21 September 2016

Happening now: Plastic Pirates

Join the 'Plastic Pirates' and take part in a funded joint project on 'Seas and Oceans' this autumn as part of the Year of Science 2016-17.

New grant: Our future in Europe - maintaining the UK-German connection

Engage your pupils in discussions on the future of the UK in Europe.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available for remote project work and/or reciprocal visits as part of our flexible funding scheme.

Back to school special (voyage kids)

Start the new school year by teaching your pupils all about school life in Germany:

  • Find out: A typical school day
  • Basteln: Make a Schultüte
  • Memory game
  • 'School words' quizzes

Funding at a glance (NEW)

For a quick overview of the key aspects of our grants, download our new 'funding at a glance' flyer.

Magical Christmas Trip 2016 (2 options)

Give your primary pupils the chance to experience Germany's Christmas culture in a real-life setting! This four-day visit to Berlin will give them the chance to meet German children of the same age and get involved in seasonal intercultural activities.

Two options now available: apply for a visit run by UK-German Connection or receive funding to organise your own!

Looking ahead

Please do get in touch with us if you have any questions about any of our opportunities or would like to discuss your plans for UK-German activity.
