Help shape the future of Anglo-German activities and partnerships! Friday 19 March - London
The deadline for registering for this event was 26th February. However, if you are still interested in attending, there are a few places left. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to attend.
UK-German Connection and the British Council are holding a conference at German House, 34 Belgrave Square, London, on Friday, 19 March 2010 to celebrate and develop Anglo-German school partnerships.
The conference will be a celebration of a number of Anglo-German projects. Many of these have been supported by the DCSF Anglo-German programme, which after 8 successful years will be withdrawn at the end of March 2010. The day will also focus on the possibilities of continuing and developing Anglo-German school cooperation and will cover a wide range of joint activities and opportunities which are cross-curricular and with or without a language element.
This event offers a unique platform to get together with colleagues from around England to help shape the future of Anglo-German links. Attendance is free of charge and the event is open to teachers of all subjects and age groups, headteachers, and representatives of local authorities. Certificates of attendance will be issued to all delegates.
The day will include opportunities to:
- find out about grants available to support Anglo-German links and projects
- seek practical advice and guidance on opportunities which support the curriculum
- network with colleagues who have been engaged in Anglo-German activities
- attend interactive workshops, including learning about getting started
- listen to case studies and celebrate existing links
- enjoy afternoon Kaffee und Kuchen!
We are able to reimburse travel expenses for this event. Participants are asked to pay the first £20; additional expenses above this amount will be reimbursed.
