What funding is available?
Striving to offer a low-cost opportunity for businesses and their trainees, the British Council can contribute up to 70% of the total project costs.
Average funding levels are:
- Up to £1,000 for preparatory visits to Germany
- Up to £1,200 per trainee for a three-week placement in Germany
- Up to £1000 per trainer for observation visits to Germany.

What types of projects have been supported?
Training Bridge encourages applications from all sectors, from hairdressing to engineering. Recent participating UK organisations have been Shell UK, BAE Systems, Airbus UK, Southern Railways, Training 2000, Lincoln College and Hartlepool College.
