New friends and magical Christmas markets in Berlin!

Find out what the kids wrote in their diaries...

"I loved Berlin, it was amazing. We did so much in just three days. We went to two Christmas markets, saw the Brandenburg Gate, went to the DDR museum, went to the Christmas workshops at the FEZ youth centre and visited a German school. I cannot believe that I got picked to go to this magical country." Shope, 10 years old

"My favourite part of Germany was the FEZ Youth Centre because it was exciting making candles, mugs and many other things. I really enjoyed everything." Kye, 10 years old

"When we went to the German School it was really fun because they wanted to do baking with us so we made Christmas cookies. We also played sports with them, we played basketball and football." Amy, 10 years old

A group of 15 primary and 6 secondary school pupils spent four days on a Magical Christmas Trip in Berlin, and had a fantastic time! The group met German children of the same age and learned about Germany and its Christmas traditions.

Other highlights included a visit to a German primary school, a tour of the most important sights in Berlin and a trip to the GDR museum. The pupils also went to two different Christmas Markets and a children's centre (FEZ) for learning and creativity. At FEZ the children had the chance to take part in lots of Christmas craft workshops where they could make their own candles, mugs and Christmas decorations.
