Snakes and circus skills!
What the kids thought ...
"The best part was the friendship we built! If you saw the pictures of us, you would say we were a group of best friends – you can’t tell who is English and who is German!"

"I hope to be able to visit my pen pal and that they can come here."
"We went shopping and in the play areas and got to know each other better – we talked a lot!"
Have you ever wanted to design your ideal zoo? Thirteen children from Brookdale Primary School got together with their friends from Grundschule Trenknerweg in Hamburg did exactly that!
Highlights of the trip included going to Hagenbeck Tierpark (a zoo in Hamburg) where the pupils helped each other to do a fun quiz. At the zoo, they also got to touch a live snake and see lots of exotic animals.
Back at the school, the children learnt some amazing circus skills and relaxed over a barbeque before getting down to work designing their ideal zoo.
See the children's plan for their ideal zoo, complete with lions, elephants, kangaroos and a flamingo! (Click on the picture to zoom in.)
