Sommer!

Today Alex taught us some German Summer words.We learned how to say sandcastle, beach, sea and Summer in German.We drew some beach scenes and labelled them in German and said what they were.Later this week before Alex goes back to Germany we are having a teddy bear picnic and hope to keep in touch with our friends in Germany next year!

Getting to know the school

Today we took Ben round our school. He got to know our school with all the classrooms and the schoolyard. We had a lot of fun. Also Ben got to know our bears and we told Ben about our families.

Hello Ben - welcome at our school

Today we met Ben for the first time and gave him a very warm welcome. We listened to his story and told him our names and also where we are from. We looked at a map of the world to find out about his way to Germany.

It was so lovely to have received so any letters. Each of our children in class had a letter addressed to them personally and as you can see, they were really delighted with this. We are now in the process of returning the correspondence.

Today was a big bear meeting in our class. Everyone of us was allowed to bring his/her teddybear. Even though the bears all were from different countries and spoke different languages, they communicated a lot and had much fun.
