Just like in the UK, 1 April is April Fools' Day in Germany. Children and adults across the country enjoy playing jokes on each other - sometimes teachers even play tricks on their pupils!
Some German companies are also known for their April Fools' Day jokes. Every year, German car manufacturer BMW runs an advert on April Fools' Day. Over the years, they have pretended to advertise lots of made-up products like a super-fast pickup truck or a special 'Royal Wedding edition' car.
