Give your primary pupils the chance to experience Germany's Christmas culture in a real-life setting! These four-day visits give them the chance to meet German children of the same age and get involved in seasonal intercultural activities.

As part of this programme, a group of primary pupils from the UK travel to Germany with their teachers, as well as 'mentors' from a nearby secondary school to meet their German peers, learn some new German words and get a taste of Christmas in Germany.
The programme includes:
• a visit to a German primary school, where the children share Christmas traditions, sing Christmas carols and work on a mini-project together
• visiting historical and cultural sites
• visits to the Christmas markets
• Christmas craft workshops
Option 1: Visit to Berlin organised and run by UK-German Connection
Working together with a school in Berlin, the visit forms the basis on which to build a school partnership and continue joint activity long after the visit. The visit takes place in the run-up to Christmas. Option 2: funding for schools to run their own Magical Christmas trip to a partner school in Germany, with programme and organisational support from UK-German Connection.
This option offers primary schools the chance to run their own Christmas trip to Germany as part of a visit to their partner school. UK-German Connection will provide schools with a framework, including comprehensive planning guidelines, and documentation, as well as financial support for the trip.
